About Linqu: Linqu County, also known as Pianyi, is located in the center of the Shandong Peninsula near the upper reaches of the Mi River and to the north of the foot of Yi Mountain, to the southwest of Weifang City. Linqu has been a county for over 2,000 years, since the days of the Western Han dynasty. It has been variously known as “the capital of short dramas (xiaoju),” “the capital of calligraphy and painting,” and “China’s capital of rock scenery.” There are over 210 Dawenkou and Longshan culture archaeological sites. Major attractions include Yi Mountain National Forest Park, Shanwang National Geopark, Laolong (“Old Dragon”) Bay, and the Shimen (“Stone Gate”) Archway and park.
