The Zhao Mausoleum (or North Mausoleum, or Beiling Park) is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon. This large park and lake hosts a 400 year old stand of pine trees. The Mausoleum is not crowded, has good historical significance, good interpretive signage, and some really nicely preserved artifacts. Well worth a visit. We didnt rent a quad-bike or a paddle boat, but they looked fun.

The last home of the Emperor Tang Taizong Li Shimin is located in Liquan County, suitable for self-driving. The museum around Zhaoling Mountain is still under construction.
