The Basilica of St. Nicholas was built in 1262, originally a Romanesque church, which was destroyed in a fire in 1361. The current church was rebuilt in 1708. The twin towers are green-topped and decorated with pink carvings, which are beautiful. The exterior walls are decorated with exquisite murals, which are solemn and shocking.
