This is an important transit point for our trip to the highlands. The whole city is very comfortable. It has many old buildings, and there are many shops and restaurants in the old city, which is very convenient.

This city is a preferred transit point and resting place for tourists to the Isle of Skye and the Highlands. It is also the seat of the capital of the Scottish Highlands, so life and transportation are quite convenient.

Inverness Castle (Inverness Castle) is the latest to be built compared to most highland castles. This rose-red building was built between 1837 and 1847 and is a great place to watch the sunset. The "information centre" is under this castle.

We all wear coats and cotton pants to keep out the cold. In China, Jiangnan has been hot weather lasting above 38 degrees in the past few days, and Oxford is also hot weather near 30 degrees. We really came to escape the heat. On the banks of the Ness River that flows through the city, we saw the spires of several tall cathedrals or bell towers in the center of the city. In such a dense area, it is rare for many ancient buildings to compete with each other. Stroll along the lake, then cross the pedestrian suspension bridge built in the 19th century across the River Ness, to the center of the city paved with stone roads. The historical heritage of this city is immediately presented to us at a glance. On both sides of the streets in the city center, shops are basically closed for weekends and holidays, but bars and cafes are lively. When I walked into the bar, I saw that the people in it were singing and dancing very high. It seems that I can appreciate the unrestrained character of the Scots here. We walked all the way to the front of Inverness Castle on the hillside, which is also a high ground in the city center. The castle made of red sand and stone is not open to the public, but the nearby square provides visitors with a very good angle to view the city. Just at this time, the setting sun showed sunlight, and blue sky and white clouds appeared above our heads. The scenery at this moment was even more beautiful because of Fonis. Although our stay here is only a short stay, the city of Inverness impressed us very deeply. This is a beautiful, peaceful and nostalgic Scottish city.
