We stumbled upon Sapori while visiting London with friends. It is very convenient to Westminster Abbey/Parliament Square/etc. We were a party of 8 - 4 adults and 4 children - and hit the tail end of the lunch hour. They were able to seat us within 5 minutes, despite the place being so small. The menu was broad - just about anything you can do to pasta, various panini, jacket potatoes. There was a limited but sufficient wine/beer list for a little place. The service was friendly and brisk and our food was delivered within 5 minutes of ordering - for all 8 of us! The servings were enormous and the food incredible. I had what I can only describe as the best pasta carbonara I have ever encountered. I stuffed myself silly because the food was so good. When we received the check, I nearly fell over. I had been accustomed over the week to the sticker shock of dining in London - but at Sapori we fed 4 of us, with a glass of wine for each of my husband and me, for a little over £30. My youngest child, not being an adventurous eater, had ordered simply a plate of buttered spaghetti. Instead of the usual £7-8 for a menu dish with no sauce I think they charged us £3 for it. We certainly didn't expect that. All in all, this was the most reasonably priced meal we ate in the course of a week in London. And there was a cash machine around the corner, which was essential as we had not noticed the small "CASH ONLY" sign on the register and didn't realize no cards were taken until we were seated with menus. So while this was a tiny blip, it was easy to address. I would absolutely seek out Sapori again should I be in London in the future!
