I had no idea that this place existed. especially in Hyde Park. It is a beautiful and tranquil place, best seen in sunny weather. Easy to get to.
The Italian Garden has a beautiful pond and an Italian architectural fountain, which was built by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. In sharp contrast with the natural landscape of the surrounding Kensington Gardens, the fountain was originally operated by a steam engine in an Italian pump house, with toilets and cafes at the north end.
The Egyptian Pavilion and the China Pavilion are indeed the more elite exhibition areas of the British Museum. The collections are far beyond the Egyptian mainland. Since our idle duo traveled freely, we had time to read all the exhibits in the exhibition area at that time, which took about 4 hours. Last year, I bought a set of three copies of the "Brief History of the World in the British Museum" organized by the curator of the British Museum. After reading it, I feel that it is still a real shock. Egypt’s Colossal bust of Ramesses the Great Ramesses statue, Sphinx, the world-famous the Rosetta Stone, Assyrian Lion Hunt reliefs, Easter Island statue Hoa Hakananai' known as the belly button of the world a Easter Island statues, statues of the goddess Venus, Chinese jade congs, emperor toy boxes, snuff bottles, Dunhuang murals, Italian specimens, Japanese samurai swords, African Tanzanian stone swords... etc.
The architectural features here are very Egyptian. You can see some of the pyramid sculptures at get off work, and there are many mummies. I don’t know if they are real.
