Royal Artillery Memorial

A very solemn monument, built to commemorate the artillery soldiers who sacrificed for the British royal family in the war.

The Royal Artillery Memorial is located at the corner of Hyde Park in London, on the west side of the traffic circle, to commemorate the casualties of the Royal Artillery in World War I. This monument has a stone cannon on a huge Portland stone base with reliefs depicting scenes of conflict. There is a bronze statue of an artillery soldier on each side of the base of the monument. The monument is modeled after the cannon of the Imperial War Museum. To the west of the monument is an artillery driver, to the east is the artillery officer, to the south is the artilleryman, and to the north is a fallen artillery. The carved stone reliefs show various details of the artillery battle in the First World War. The main inscription of this monument reads: "Proud to commemorate the 490,000 people of the royal army who gave their lives to the king and the country in the war of 1914-1919." The monument is famous for its realism style.

The Royal Artillery Memorial is one of the lesser-known war memorials in London. It contains the artillery, flags and clothing used by the Royal Artillery during World War II. It is located at the corner of Hyde Park in front of the Wellington Arch.
