Second time here. There are wonderful actors. Not a big theater. But comfortable and pleasant. Good sound effects, comfortable chairs. Easy to see the stage.

The theatre has the name of Russian writer and dramaturg Anton Chekhov (At the end of the street there is a statue in his honor); is an option for showing in scene arts.

I have not been in the Chekhov MHT since Oleg Tabakov was led by them. Mashkov is very mixed, but it is necessary to pay tribute to him: the high plan of the theatre did not fall. In recent years I became a fan of the Pitersky BDT, so I can say, from all Moscow theatres competition it is only that the MHT named after Chekhov. The most visited performance was "Game in the town" by Yuri Stoyanov. It involves really brilliant actors, including 90-year-old Stanislav Lyubshin. I recommend everyone to rush to enjoy the genius of this actor. But not only him! This performance is the rare case when different generations of actors look very harmoniously on the stage and complement each other.
