Near the marsh square in central moscow, there is a luzhkov bridge, about a few kilometers south of the kremlin, across a tributary of the moscow river. From a long time ago, the pedestrian bridge, about a few hundred meters long, was used as a place for lovers to meet. Since 2006, Moscow lovers and newlyweds have been scrambling to hang the locks on the bridge's rails, which are so densely hung with iron locks that it can't bear the weight of love. Moscow city authorities regularly clean up locks on the bridge for safety reasons, but once there is a clearing, new locks will soon be "occupated"
