What travelers say:
When it's a last-minute dinner and a movie date night, sometimes the most difficult part is finding a place for dinner. Luckily, going to the movies at the Arclight Hollywood provides the opportunity for some nearby good eats. A block and a half away, Magnolia Hollywood fit the bill perfectly. Reservations made through my app, I made them early enough to have a nice leisurely and relaxing meal (hubby has had one of *those* type of work days). The decor is minimalist and inviting. The banquette seat at our table for two was very comfortable. Our reservation was early enough that we were the only ones in the restaurant, but it didn't feel cavernous or lonely. Our server Preston, was friendly and professional and never made us feel hurried as we took our time and hubby decompressed from his work week. Preston gave us several recommendations on what to eat. The Tuna Tartare with taro root chips as just right for our appetizer. The Chicken Rice Bowl was flavorful and very umami. The Magnolia burger was incredibly delicious as well. Hubby's cocktail of choice is a Manhattan and the Black Manhattan at Magnolia did not disappoint. We didn't get to see the dessert menu because we had to go to our movie. But we will definitely check it out the next time we are there. Note: If you're going to the movies at the Arclight, park in their parking structure and walk over to Magnolia. It's only a block and a half away.
