We are always impressed with the staff, they come around to check on your satisfaction, they remember us and greet us when we come in.They watch to be sure the assembly of your pizza is just the way you want it. I love that they encourage trying a new ingredient and like to hear if it was a hit. They tear fresh basil for your pizza, and have really fresh items. The crust is real "Chicago Pizza". I grew up there and we did not ever have the bready dough in Taylor Street area. Just learned about it when we moved to Oregon!! keep an eye out for the seasonal pizza and possible special toppings. However, I do not like the American style prosciutto.
There are many 'Build your Own' pizza shops around, this one is by far my favorite. Friendly staff, clean environment, great ambiance. We got the Mediterranean Pizza with added Canadian Bacon and Mushrooms. It was so delicious, we are adding this restaurant to our monthly visit. They have sauces you can have for dipping in the side. We chose the Basil Pesto and Ranch.
As soon as you get inside you'll choose your dough, the ingredients you like and the type of pizza. All for a fixed price. It's like the Subway chain for pizzas. Give it a try!!
In the Twin Cities(Minnesota) they have Punch Pizza which is the same concept. I couldn't really tell online what I was getting into and as I drove to pick up my pizza I was a little nervous this place may be a Papa Murphy's style take and bake... but my online ordering didn't let me down. The pizza was OK, I just got a pepperoni but wouldn't seek it out if I was back in town. For $9 I was thinking something a little bigger/better but it was more than enough for one person. It was busy with plenty of people who seemed to love it though! Also, now knowing the concept, I may not have gotten a plain pepperoni pizza... It's more of an artsy pizza place.
