History built in the 90s to preserve our history of when Chinese Americans entered into California and gives a good timeline of what happened from when everything happened. 1800s to current time.

There are many popular landmarks around here, such as the old Pico House and Ovila Street, but the American Chinese Museum has its place, in the Garnier Tower built in 1890, which is the oldest representative Chinese style building in Southern California. The museum is not only well located, but also carries many memories of Chinatown. It is free to visit, but donations are also very welcome. As you walk down the narrow corridors of this historic building, the glory of the founders seems to come alive from artifacts, wall pictorials, the sound of old Chinatown. Chinatown has now grown to cover most of the San Gabriel Valley, but it is here that is the source of all this.

华美博物馆是美国规模最大的华人博物馆，首期开放的四个主要展厅，展出的图片和实物包括早期移民的衣著、首饰、日用品、文具、家俱、移民口供书，甚至有整座中药铺的药柜、柜台，以及杂货店的大货厨。这里的每一件文物背后都有一个故事，记载著从150年前开始，华人移民到美国后曾经遭受过的的辛酸屈辱、悲欢离合，以及他们在这片陌生的土地上创业、成长、成功的历史。华美博物馆的开幕，将提醒世世代代的华裔子孙和各族裔的人民，记住华人对美国社会做出的贡献，各族裔之间的相互融合理解，是美国这个多元社会得以繁荣的保证。
