Louisiana is a state in the Deep South region of the South Central United States. It is the 19th-smallest by area and the 25th most populous of the 50 U.S. states. Louisiana is bordered by the state of Texas to the west, Arkansas to the north, Mississippi to the east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. A large part of its eastern boundary is demarcated by the Mississippi River. Louisiana is the only U.S. state with political subdivisions termed parishes, which are equivalent to counties. The state's capital is Baton Rouge, and its largest city is New Orleans.
Much of the state's lands were formed from sediment washed down the Mississippi River, leaving enormous deltas and vast areas of coastal marsh and swamp. These contain a rich southern biota; typical examples include birds such as ibises and egrets. There are also many species of tree frogs, and fish such as sturgeon and paddlefish. In more elevated areas, fire is a natural process in the landscape and has produced extensive areas of longleaf pine forest and wet savannas. These support an exceptionally large number of plant species, including many species of terrestrial orchids and carnivorous plants. Louisiana has more Native American tribes than any other southern state, including four that are federally recognized, ten that are state recognized, and four that have not received recognition.
The Mercedes Benz Superdome is easily one of the best spots for watching an NFL game. The energy of the Saints fans is electrifying. The stadium is located in the heart of New Orleans, making it easy to find a cool restaurant or bar before or after. The tailgating scene is legitimate and for a live show or tribute now and again, do not miss the champions square. Just take note, regulation of size on what kind of bags can go in.
New Orleans is a fabulous city to visit, and much more than just Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Obviously you want to see those places, but make sure you get out into the other neighborhoods where the real city is found. Get away from the tourist areas and find the street music and amazing people that make this outstanding destination one of the most unique destinations in the world.
At the Mercedez Bez Superdome during the saints season opener. "Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?" we had so much fun. It was such a great experience.
This was way back in 2017 when we visited Louisiana. Watched the game of Pelicans vs Rockets in Smoothie King Center, New Orleans. Met new people, made new friends and experience new things. How i miss the good old days when Covid 19 still wasn’t a thing. I’m missing the crowd, the thrill and all the fun.

Hey! I’m living in Louisiana and he’s from Wisconsin. We been dating and dealing with long distance relationship for over 2 years. I met him in the online app and I don’t know why I can trust the person who I never met before. We were take time to flight to see each other every month. And now after all, we’re gonna get married next month. I feel so lucky that I can find a man who loves me so much and always support me with everything I do. I hope you all have a good partner like I have.
The Mississippi River, the largest river in the United States, flows into the Gulf of Mexico in New Orleans, so a trip to New Orleans must not be missed is a cruise on the Mississippi River on the steamboat Natchez. The ship departs from the heart of the French Quarter, and a two-hour cruise showcases the beauty of the lower Mississippi River and the vitality of the port city of New Orleans. The cruise has a buffet lunch and a jazz band on the boat, like a lively big party.
Romantic New Orleans French Quarter. New Orleans was once occupied by the French, so there is still a French area here. This old block with a strong French style has a history of more than 200 years. In 1803, Americans bought large plots of land from Napoleon, most of which were destroyed during the Civil War, and the French district of New Orleans was well preserved. Many of the restaurants here have a history of one or two hundred years, and the exterior of the building maintains the style of the year. Walking through the streets, you can find the home of Napoleon. The most lively area in the French Quarter is Bourbon Street, where bars, restaurants and street performers make it very lively. It is also the location of the American drama "The Vampire of the First Generation", which attracted many people to come to this tour.
