What people are saying:

📓Gahai Lake is also called Gahaizecha Nature Reserve. It is located in Gahai Township, Luqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. It is 3,500 meters above sea level. It is located at the intersection of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Loess Plateau and Longnan Mountain, and it crosses the Yellow River and Yangtze River. The two major river systems are also one of the birthplaces of the Tao River, the largest tributary of the Yellow River, and the birthplace of the Bailong River in the Yangtze River system. 📓In 1998, the State Council approved the establishment of a national nature reserve. It is a rare wildlife nature reserve that integrates the three functions of forest and wildlife, plateau wetland, and plateau meadow. 💗tips: From June 2020, Gahai will charge 5 yuan for parking within the free admission range of attractions in Gannan Prefecture. The plank road in the scenic area can originally be walked around, which may be due to settlement. A small part of the plank road near the lake is below the water surface and cannot be passed through. Pay attention to safety.

Introduction

Gahai is in Gaihai Country, Luqu Town, southern Gansu, near Langmu Temple. Ganhai Lake is a large freshwater lake in southern Gansu, sitting at the center of the pasture. The scenery is picturesque, as the mirror-like lake reflects the blue sky and white clouds on clear days. Gahai Lake is also a bird sanctuary in which black swans, egrets, wild geese and other water fowls live. There are various colorful wild flowers along the lake in July and August.
