Erhai Park in Dali | Camellias in full bloom, the scenery is infinitely good! (With strategy)
Erhai Park in Dali, camellias in full bloom in winter, the scenery is infinitely good. Due to its unique geographical location, this is a good place to watch Cangshan, Erhai and enjoy flowers.
Erhai Park is located on the south side of Erhai (next to the Binhai Avenue of Xiaguan Town) and is an open free park. Because it is located on the local Tuan Mountain, it is also called Tuan Mountain Park.
From the "Fisherman's Girl Statue" on the Erhai Binhai Avenue, go south along the stone steps to Erhai Park. There are a total of 278 steps here, with 4 viewing platforms set up, where you can appreciate the "Fisherman's Girl Statue" and the beautiful scenery of Erhai from different angles.
When you reach the fourth step road, walk less than 50 meters to the left and you can enter the park gate. Follow the signpost to one of the "best viewing points of Erhai", the "Chai House" internet celebrity check-in.
At the "Chai House" internet celebrity check-in in Erhai Park, the view is very open, you can overlook the beautiful Erhai, you can see Manjiang and Jinso Island to the east, and Cangshan and Haixi Village to the west. There are also leisurely canopies, sky mirrors, white "Little Erhai Gate" and Chai House Coffee. It is said that there used to be a charge for travel photography here, but later everything except food and drink was free. The beautiful scenery of the public area should be shared by everyone, not fenced off for money.
After watching the beautiful scenery of Erhai, next is to appreciate the colorful camellia scenery. There are many varieties of camellias in Erhai Park, and now is the time when "flowers are in full bloom". For tourists who want to see the beautiful scenery of camellias in Dali, Erhai Park is a good choice.
Walking west from the "Chai House", on the south side of Erhai Park near the corridor, there are all kinds of camellias in full bloom. Take pictures while watching the flowers along the way, the scenery is infinitely good.
Erhai Park is a free park to visit, and there are at least three gates to enter the park. The Fisherman's Girl Statue on the north side faces the entrance, which is only accessible on foot; the second is the East Gate, near the entrance of the Seismological Bureau on Binhai Avenue, where you can drive up and pass the zoo along the way; and the South Gate near the Pearl Square, which is also only accessible on foot.
📌Practical Tips:
✔Erhai Park covers a large area, with various exotic flowers and plants, children's play facilities, zoos, monuments, as well as catering and food and travel photography check-in places.
✔Many foreign tourists may enter Erhai Park from the South Gate (on the side of Pearl Square), and they can't see Erhai even if they climb the mountain all the way, suspecting that they have come to a fake "Erhai Park". How can it be called "Erhai Park" without Erhai? Please don't worry, when you reach the top of Tuan Mountain, you can see Erhai to the north.

A fantastic place for sightseeing and a lovely way to look over the city. The tracks for walking are nice but safe and the park is also close to the railway station. I also got to see bamboos and all this for free. Fantastic!!
The natural scenery of Bohai Park is beautiful, picturesque, and the perfect integration of people and nature. You can walk to the top of the mountain to see the beautiful scenery of Bohai Sea, or overlook the Dali City. It is beautiful; it is recommended to stay in the surrounding B&B for one night and feel the romantic feelings of Bohai Sea.
You can also climb to the mountain to see the Bohai Sea. The weather is not good and you don't go up. It is estimated that it will definitely feel different to climb the mountain to overlook the Bohai Sea. From the alleys of Bohai Long Bay and Xia Village, you can see the Bohai Sea without tourists. It is really pleasant to look at the mountains and buildings opposite, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd! I have been to Dali a few times, and I live in the ancient city every time. This time I finally experienced a different Dali!
