The Wangxia Fortress, originally built to defend against foreign invasion, has a history of more than 100 years. It is also a small commanding height of Macao. Now it still retains many military traces, including the fort lighthouse and the sentry.

It's worth seeing. Walk along the sign entrance of the big pavilion. There are a lot of artillery in each muzzle, facing eight sides, some facing Xiamen, some facing Macau, very spectacular.

Also, it used to be the Governor's Office of Australia. Half of Macau and Zhuhai could be seen on the fort.

Wangxia Fortress, built in the former Portuguese colonies, is used to resist foreign invasion. The scenery here is general and the area is very large, but there is no historical explanation here, but it is of great historical significance.

The Wangxia Fortress covers an area of about 700 square meters and is rectangular in shape, while the powder depot near the door is circular. The Fort wall is granite, about 6 meters high. The entrance of the fort is 2.5 meters wide and 3 meters high. The door is thick wooden door, and the roof of the entrance is covered with feldspar. There are 11 holes on the wall of its entrance, and a concrete Observatory 4 meters above the platform on the other platform. In the fort, there are channels leading to the nearby powder depot and observation platform. Unlike other fortifications in Macau, the muzzle of this fortification is directed towards China and directly to the direction of gate closure.

Wangxia Fortress is located in Wangxia Mountain Municipal Park. It was set up by Portuguese to defend against the Qing army. Now there are only a few ancient guns left alone. You can come and see them by the way.

Wangxia Fort is an ancient fort located in Wangxia Mountain Municipal Park, Macao. It was one of the military defense strongholds during the Portuguese colonial period. In order to protect the army of the Qing Dynasty, it was founded in 1849, restarted in 1864, completed in 1866, and did not stop using forts until 1960. After the fort was changed to a non-native Portuguese camp stationed in Macao, so the valley was called "Black Ghost Mountain". Now Wangxia Mountain Municipal Park has been rebuilt. The surrounding environment is very beautiful. Flowers and trees are planted everywhere in the shade of mountain roads. The Roman Square, fountains, artificial lakes, waterfalls, corridors and other ancient fortifications set off each other, which is a good place for tourism.

The Sino-US Treaty of Wangxia, a national humiliation in modern history, is the historical proof that Wangxia Fortress invaded China on the street at that time, and patriotic generals rose up to resist and fought bloody battles. This is a good base for patriotic education. It is also a meaningful place to remember national history and warn Chinese children not to forget to defend national dignity. It's worth going!!
