  • a beautiful palace in Madrid 😍🏰👑

    I booked a walking tour online which includes tickets to the Royal Palace of Madrid. I would so recommend doing so if you are going to Madrid because: No. 1 you have a tour guide that walks with you while explaining the history of Madrid & No. 2 you get to skip the queue for getting tickets and also entering the Royal Palace (very important because the palace is always really busy and the sun in Madrid is blazing hot 🥵) The palace is well maintained, very pretty and grand and definitely is worth a visit. I would say the palace quite the perfect example of east meet west where you can see some oriental inspired decorations and wallpapers. I personally do not have any prior knowledge about the Spanish royal family so it was nice to have a tour guide who explained everything to the finest details to us!! #timetotravel #境外遊 #madrid #royalpalace

    The El Retiro park is a must visit in Madrid. It is centrally located so it's an easy walk from anywhere in the city! it recently gained UNESCO world heritage status for its history. In the middle of El Retiro is a huge lake that is popular with young families and couples. The park is also conveniently situated next to the Prado museum so you can visit both sites in one go! #madrid #spain

  • Huge park in the heart of Madrid

    I tried to visit the Prado museum, but hadn’t planned in advance and the ginormous line was a big turnoff. Since the park is right next to it, I decided to go for a stroll and that was the best decision. When I visited in early November, the autumn leaves were all over the park and it was quite pleasant walking through the fallen leaves. The Crystal palace (closed when I visited) and Velasquez Palace are also in the grounds and there’s no charge to visit them. Definitely a great way to relax in Madrid.

It is a major public space in the heart of Madrid and you able to stroll around the square and take some lovely pictures. Is a beautiful architectural. You able to find information center there. There are shops, restaurants and cafes. I enjoyed my moments there early in the morning because of lesser crowd. As such, I would recommend you to go early in the morning to have a look of the architecture then catch up with a breakfast around that area. I want to travel to Hong Kong to experience their culture, lifestyles and foods.

    When it comes to Madrid, what comes to your mind first? I would think of Jolin Tsai's 'Madrid Wonders', and my initial understanding of the city also comes from this song. It truly is a city that needs to be savored slowly, not only does it have mouth-watering cuisine but also year-round cultural events, long hours of daylight, and more; however, the main thing to do when you come here is to complete these 10 small tasks! 1. Visit the Bear and the Strawberry Tree statue Although its location might shift occasionally, it's still in Puerta del Sol, with no real impact; yes, Madrid has strawberry trees, but no bears. 2. Experience ice skating at El Retiro Engaging in sports at El Retiro Park is often a challenge, but it's also to help everyone overcome. 3. Climb to the rooftop of the City Hall At the corner of Cibeles, Gran Via, where Calle de Alcalá begins, you can take some really nice life photos, and also take the opportunity to have a drink, enjoying the view while you sip. 4. Take a photo with the Schweppes sign in the background Definitely the first thing to do, take a photo from one of the zebra crossings, it really makes for a good shot (but safety first). 5. Jog along the Madrid Río Jogging in El Retiro Park is also good, but enjoying this small river and the ever-growing animal population is also a pleasure. 6. A little boy encountered a big bear while playing in the forest and hurriedly climbed a strawberry tree to avoid the big bear's attack. In a hurry, the little boy shouted loudly "mad rid! mad rid!" (Mom run! Mom run!). A passing hunter came to protect the little boy's mother upon hearing the sound. Located just a few steps away from Gran Via metro station, right at the heart of Madrid, this museum has taken the space of a former jewelry where the Royal family used to shop. Now the walls of the space host a different type of precious items: and this time they allow for a journey through the works of one of Spain’s most international creators today: Okuda San Miguel.   • Beautiful Christmas lights in Madrid

    Although travelling in the winter can be troublesome - you need to pack thicker clothes which makes your luggage heavier and the day is much shorter, you get Christmas lights, Christmas markets and festive events that you don’t have in the summer. If you walk by Gran Via, Retiro and most robust areas in Madrid, you instantly feel the joy and excitement of the winter season with the festive songs that being played in shops and the decorations in the street and department stores. The winter in Madrid isn’t horribly cold (around 10 degree on average) - you get to feel the change of season but still manage to do most outdoor activities without feeling frozen. #madrid #christmaslights #christmasmarket
