My husband and I went to dinner here on our first night in Mainz. I was expecting more of the regular hotel restaurant dining experience (good but nothing to call home about), but was pleasantly surprised at the level of food offered. We started with the bonito carpaccio, AMAZING! (A fish that&#39;s not too popular in the states but it should be; has almost a beef like texture) and split the pumpkin soup (super decadent). For our main courses I opted for the German beef filet with a side of truffle risotto and swiss chard and my husband opted for the grilled char with bacon potatoes. Their house beer was great and they&#39;re offering of German wines paired perfectly with our German dinner. Our server Magunes was a wonderful host.
