Located on the banks of the Pasig River, Intramuros is the old site of Manila and the ancient city district of Manila. The city is surrounded by trenches and medieval walls with 7 gates. There are the governor's residence and 12 churches in the city. You can experience the city by taking an ancient carriage shuttle on the streets. Here you will enjoy the elegance of Spain as it preserves the architectural features of ancient times. There are many attractions to visit, including Manila Cathedral, Casa Manila Museum, St. Augustine Church, Santiago Castle and many more.
It's an old city. The houses here are old, all the buildings are very old, which is a witness to the historical evolution of this place, but it is very clean and has formed a good scenery.
a beautiful historical place..............loved it!
I really Enjoyed Intramuros area. It had a lot of culture, from sites to see, people, food, buildings, statues, schools. Intramuros is a great area to just walk around and take photos. There a lot of locals who walk around here. Feel free to wander around, as you will come across some of the lesser fortunate areas. Walking through these areas I found some very friendly people. I really enjoyed my time here. The only warning, is beware of he touts who want to give you a ride on the their trikes. They are everywhere (unless you want that kind of thing), and they will bug you all the time. There are tourist police strategically placed around Intramuros to prevent anything to happen to tourists.
City is the old city of Manila, witnessing the historical evolution of many of the city, and basically many fences, you can ride a horse and cart to play, very wonderful, but also many ports.
One of the million places to visit in Manila
worthwhile to go there. Intramuros was destroyed in WWII. Rebuilt later.
