Fire Services Museum of Victoria

Unfortunately, we took our three-year-old grandson to the museum, not on Friday morning, and they were just getting ready for the young children. We had two fire engines when we arrived and when we got there, they were leaving. The real museum doesn’t really cater to children, but for adults they have some really interesting items worth seeing. Although my grandson does love the horse statues that pull the old fire trucks.

Great museum. Our guide was knowledgeable and took some time to explain each device and its source. The communication section upstairs was fantastic, but only our more mobile members could access this section.

In Australia, police are respected professions, especially firefighters. They are inconsistent with our domestic firefighter system. We are mainly military personnel, supplemented by contract system. As they are professionals, the government attaches great importance to them, setting up special museums to help teenagers understand and respect fire protection.

Melbourne has the reputation of "Australian Cultural Capital" and is also an internationally renowned fashion capital. Its clothing, art, music, television production, movies, dances and other fashion culture are well known all over the world. Melbourne is the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to host the Summer Olympic Games. The annual Australian Open Tennis, Formula 1 racing car Australia, Melbourne Cup Horse Racing and other famous international events are held in Melbourne.

This fire-fighting museum is really interesting. So many classic products, many beautiful windmills are really unheard of.
