The former residence of Yuan Jiagu is a typical Yunnan-style building of Han nationality. It has a two-story building with four drops of water, a symmetrical courtyard in the center, and a library in the backyard. Usually it is rarely open to tourists, and the gates are generally locked, but the quaint gates can still tell the vicissitudes and ages of this place.
It is located at No. 5 Cuihu North Road, Wuhua District, facing west to east. It covers an area of 695.8 square meters with a construction area of 875.9 square meters. It is a typical wooden courtyard house in the Qing Dynasty. The furnishings and exhibitions in the former residence are an important window to understand the cultural history of Shiping
