Beautiful, but too scary for me!
We live ~2 Merritt Island from here, and while the place is peaceful, after watching an ~10+ foot alligator strollling across Sykes Creek Pwky, I’ve decided, nah, I’m good!!
Great place to put in the kayak
Great place to put in the kayak. Spent the day exploring the mangroves. We were pleasantly surprised!
Nice quiet area
The walking/biking trail is nicely maintained, and its a good area for boating/kayaking and fishing. There are several viewing platforms to stop and look around. Come prepared, since as with all lagoo...
Diappointing
As said by previous rater, there's not much here unless you are going kayak. The trail is just a road and we didn't see anything. Part of the trail was closed due to stinging insects of some type. ...
Not much here
If you are in the area and just looking for a place to take a nice hike, this is an OK place. Not much here. Didn't see much wildlife and from the trails you see very little water.
