What people are saying:

This park is located in downtown New Orleans and is an urban park built along the canal. Because there is water, wild ducks and other water birds gather here, making the park look very aura. The park is full of trees and grass. There are not many tourists. It is very quiet. We wandered in the park for two hours because it was too big to be visited. What I sigh is that such a big park does not charge tickets, and the management inside is quite good, everywhere is clean, I really envy such a beautiful environment.

    Love to see the barges!

I could sit here and watch the barges go up the river for hours. If your lucky enough you can see a cruise ship pass by. Grab some beignets and coffee and head to the river.

Construction on Upriver End of Park this Visit

We remember when this area of the New Orleans riverfront was just wharves, and some warehouses. We remember when Mayor Maurice “Moon” Landrieu started the reclamation project in the 1970's, that resul...

My wife and i had a very nice walk along the waterfront park

We went for a walk along the waterfront at 9am after indulging ourselves at Cafe du Monde. The park was quiet and attractive. We came across the occasional walker/jogger/dog walker. We felt safe an...
