After reading a few good reviews about this place, i took my wife to eat some pupusas. well i got there around 9:00pm on a Tuesday and the place was really empty. we went in and had a seat and the waitress took her sweet time to even welcome us to the place. the food was really good but really bad bad service. i had to walk around looking for waitress to get some NAPKINS. and like i say in the beginning the place was empty so there is no reason to be looking for the waitress.
I bypassed one of my favorite Cuban restaurants to try pupusas from La Pupusa Factory 2 (the actual name for this location). If you don't speak Spanish, the friendly staff with guide you through the menu. I had enough language skills to make it easy, but you will really feel like you're in Salvador. Pupusa are a standard fare in El Salvador. I had the Pupusa con Queso y Chicharron (Pork and Cheese filled). The pupusa is a flour tortilla pancake with the stuffing inside. The have a variety of stuffings that include beef and beans, etc. Pupusas are served with three different relishes/toppings to add for yourself. My favorite was the "curtido" that was like a vinegar based cabbage slaw with jalapenos and onion. Real cane sugar Coca-Cola in available and Salvadorian desserts too. The television has Spanish language programming running and the restaurant is family friendly with seating in the dining room or a the bar. Two Pupusas con Queso y Chicharron and a water = $5.98! Not bad!
