Museum Park Lake Michigan is so beautiful, where there is water, it always makes people feel happy. ~ Ha ha very nice!
My wife and I came here on our trip to Miami. We were amazed by the graffiti art here. If I had known this place earlier, I would have adjusted my travel plan. I think it's worthwhile to rent a car and enjoy these arts around here. Or, it's good to get out early, stop at a restaurant and continue to appreciate the art. All in all, it's really amazing.
Wynwood is Miami's art district and it's filled with murals, graffiti and galleries. It's a bit spread out, but if you take the time to walk up and down the many side streets you will see plenty of art covered alleyways, galleries in unassuming industrial spaces and an assortment of graffiti. Wynwood walls is right in the center of the district and it's basically a more concentrated collection of galleries and murals than the rest of the area. There's also a covered bar in the center of it.If you are around on the second saturday of the month, check out the art walk. Galleries are open until ten and there are plenty of food trucks.
For anyone that has not been to Wynwood Walls be prepared to be blown away when walking through there. It does not matter i you are an artist, art lover, or just a plain visitor, one will be in love with this place after one visit. Each mural is beautiful and vivid. They each tell their own story. Looking into a mural, it feels if you are transplanted from the Wynwood into the artist's own little world.Next time in the Wynwood, stop by the Wynwood Walls and grab a few libations while enjoying the art and music that fills this wonderland.
During my visit to Miami, I made sure to add this to my itinerary. This place is a must see if you're headed to Miami. This warehouse like community is fully painted with colorful murals done by creative artists around the world and is free for the public to enjoy. It's opened all year long with plenty of local eateries - cafes and coffee shops. Parking is available along the side streets or you can rent a local CITI bike and ride all the way here from South Beach Miami like I did =D
The Wynwood Walls was conceived by Tony Goldman in 2009. He was looking for something big to transform the warehouse district of Wynwood, and he arrived at a simple idea: "Wynwood's large stock of warehouse buildings, all with no windows, would be my giant canvases to bring to them the greatest street art ever seen in one place."The Wynwood Walls has brought the world's greatest artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami.Don't miss them.
In the past 10 years, the Wynwood Art District has blossomed from a low-end warehouse and garment district to an uber trendy hotspot for the arts. Graffiti artists both local and international vie for space on the walls to paint their unique visions and statements. Galleries and great restaurants and clubs line the streets. Popular spot for nightlife, bars and breweries.
The Wynwood Walls are THE place to view local street art as well as international graffiti at it's best. The greatest artists in the world gather here monthly to change the walls and showcase their sensational talent. If you're lucky, you can even catch the artists in action creating, and they happily chat you up and answer your questions.
