Dongda Temple is the Daben Mountain of Huayanzong, also known as Dahuayan Temple. It is the largest existing wooden structure in the world (the front is 57 meters wide, 50 meters deep and 48.74 meters high), and the Great Buddha Hall in the temple enshrines the world's largest bronze. Buddha statue - the great Buddha Lushen Buddha. The bronze statue of the Buddha of Sakyamuni is 15 meters high and weighs 380 tons. As a historical relic of Nara, Todaiji is listed as a World Heritage Site. There is also a wooden pillar in the Great Buddha Hall, because there is a square hole at the bottom of the pillar. It is said that through this hole, you can be happy and well-behaved, and the meaning is very good, so many people line up here to wait for the cave. Because the hole is relatively small, the child can easily climb, but the adults can not climb the same, and the petite adults can climb with the help of friends. There is also a wooden model of the temple in the same proportion. In addition, there are souvenir sales, such as postcards, refrigerator stickers, painted horses, defensive, etc., you can also ask the temple to write a peace sign, you can also ask for a sign. When we went there, we met a lot of students visiting here, and it seems to be a good place to study. In the Todai-ji Temple, there are Namdaemun, February Hall, March Hall, and Masakura. The entrance to the main hall is chargeable and the ticket is 500 yen.

Very impressive historical temple. Lots of figures and architectural models to see inside. Also a good place to get some souvenirs.
Amazing temple grounds. The outer gate really shows its age and the temple gate, temple and grounds are beautiful! Nestled in Nara park where the deer are tame and always looking for a handout this is a fun place to visit.
A grand great Buddha in Todaiji Temple situated in Nara.. the beautiful place minutes away from Osaka Japan.
My favorite temple. There is the biggest wooden Buddha inside the temple. Amazingly big and beautifully built.
Nigatsudo is a small temple and is within walking distance. Todaiji is often packed with tourists, so Nigatsudo is a welcome respite from the crowds.
