As one of Montevideo's must-have restaurants, I had to go there for lunch while sightseeing in the old town. I arrived early (about 12:15) on advice. The restaurant is small, all seats are around a counter facing the kitchen and preparation area (so you can watch the show while dining). The menu is simple and delicious. A sandwich, a salad, some fish, some meat... Besides my dishes, including cucumber/avocado/mint soup and beef spindle salad, the other dishes also looked beautiful and delicious. I really don’t think you’ll make a mistake about anything on the menu, but to avoid waiting too early, because by 12:30pm all seats are occupied... the place is only open for a few hours at lunchtime.
