Taoyedu, also known as Nanpudu, is located in Qinhuai District of Nanjing City. It is an ancient crossing on the Qinhuai River. It is located near the confluence of the Qinhuai River and the ancient Qingxi River. It starts in the east of Gongyuan Street in the South and ends in the west of Huaiqingqiao Bridge in Jiankang Road in the north. Taoyedu is one of the ancient scenic spots in Nanjing, which is located in the forty-eight scenic spots of Jinling. There are "Peach Leaf Crossing Stele" at the original ferry, and "Peach Leaf Crossing Pavilion". From the Six Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Peach Leaf Crossing is a prosperous area with rivers competing and light boats Xiaogu.
It's already afternoon with such a smile. I don't know if there's still a hundred steps to miss you and I haven't learned the decadence of youth. It's like your laughter has risen on the other side of Qinhuai River, shining and transparent like a round flute wandering or swaying sleeves. It's hard to convey the feelings. The lights haven't woken up yet. There won't be a thousand sails in the luxury of missing. You're not waiting for me to set out in a boat or cross the river without waiting. Ancient people will wait for you to call my name and lead me across the river - Taoyedu was originally because of a poem, a song, falling in love with Taoyedu, falling in love with Nanjing. Poetry is this one. The song is Shi Jinming's Peach Leaf Ferry. Earlier, in fact, it only saw the words of Mr. Cao Shaode, so it indulged in the rhyme of Jin Dynasty and could not extricate itself. It has to be said that the planning and construction of Nanjing is excellent, especially in places like Taoyedu Style Street and Laomendong. You may sneer at the commercial atmosphere, but a person who lets himself quietly lose in the corner of time, or wander, or taste tea, or chant, or drink, at this time the soul belongs to you only, full of pleasure and lightness.
At noon, I strolled here occasionally, in a small park in the Confucius Temple. It is said that in the Eastern Jin Dynasty of the Six Dynasties, Wang Xianzhi often welcomed his lover Taoyedu River here. At that time, the Qinhuai River was very wide. If the ferry was not careful, it would turn over. Peach Leaf was afraid to take a boat. Wang Xianzhi wrote poems to comfort her. In memory of this beautiful love story, he was named Taoyedu.
The Peach Leaf Ferry has a good view. It's very close to the Confucius Temple. It lasts five or six minutes.
Perhaps because of the relationship between winter, peach leaf degree is a little cold, almost nobody, but the ancient buildings on both sides of the river, quiet atmosphere let me like it very much. Sitting by the riverside, basking in the sun, watching the quiet flow of the river, restless mood has calmed down.
The night scenery is charming, the beauty is fragrant, the breeze is gentle, the moon is bright, the boat is sailing, praise!
