Arguably Shanghai's most-famous tourist attraction, the Bund is a waterfront promenade and famous business district in central Shanghai. Historically, the Bund was the city’s main financial and trading center, and was located within the Shanghai International Settlement, an area under nominal British control between 1843 and 1941. The walking areas extend roughly 1.6 km along the west bank of the Huangpu River. Owing to its historic status and zoning restrictions, the Bund contains fantastic examples of classic Shanghai architecture. For this reason, it is a popular spot for photography, offering the best views across the river to Shanghai’s modern skyline in Lujiazui. No visit to Shanghai would be complete without a visit to the Bund.
awesome place to visit. the people are so kind even for such a high traffic fast pace destination. i really enjoyed the time spent there and strongly recomend it as a must go travel spot.
the bund, especially in a sunny day, is the best place to visit in Shanghai, either day or night time. my favorite experience is walking toward the north part of the bund and looking back to see both sides of the river view
check out the bund in the night from veiwng deck on the bay, if you have time take the subway across to Lujiazui and have he view of what its lk on the opposite side
Best place in Shanghai packed with loads of foreign restaurants, great bars, amazing views and a wonderful cruise! Not to be missed!
I strongly recommend to go there at night. At night there are less people and more beautiful
One of the most famous places in Shanghai is the place to go to. Here is my specific feeling about the Bund: [Location Traffic] is located in Jiangxi Middle Road, Huangpu District, convenient transportation, take the subway at the station of Nanjing East Road on Line 2 or 10. [Reasons for Recommendation] By the Huangpu River, there are 52 classical revival buildings with different styles on the Bund. Known as the World Architecture Expo, they are important historical sites and representative buildings in modern China and important landmarks in Shanghai. Here, you can walk along the riverside walk along the river to enjoy the Oriental Pearl, especially when it is rainy. In the center of the city, everything is very, very convenient. [Deficiencies] There is a large flow of people and heavy traffic. To Shanghai, you must come!
wonder.i have no Word for this place.i Recommend that must go in night
The Bund is a favorite place for tourists to come to Shanghai. Recently, because they have to go to the Bund for business, they go a lot. Every time they go, as long as the weather is OK, they like to walk along the Bund. The scenery of the Bund is really good. There are sunny days, cloudy days and cloudy days. The clouds in the sky are different. The effect of the Bund will be different. It is worthy of being a building complex of all countries. A row of bank buildings, really every building has the style and architectural features of each building. If you have time, it's even better to go in and see them one by one. The opposite Pudong is completely the feature of the opening up. In short, if you come to Shanghai for tourism, the Bund is really a scenic spot you can't miss.
if you want to unwind and see the beauty of Shanghai at night then you have to visit this place. you can walk from Nanjing east road and you can reach the bund at the end part... lots of people especially in the evening from 6:00 to 10:00.
Looks spectacular on both sides, even when overcast (especially Shanghai Tower disappearing into the clouds). Don't expect to get anywhere in a hurry on account of the crowd, but definitely a must see when in Shanghai.
