"The outskirts of this fish market are busiest from 5 to 7 am. The haggling sound is raging under the dusky lights. The so-called guides are enthusiastic about the strange and never seen seafood."

Reasons to Recommend: Negombo is a famous fish village with two fish markets, one in the central city, near the vegetable market, and the other in the periphery. The fish market near the vegetable market is a good place to observe the daily life of Negombo residents, and it is also a material for humanistic photography. 1. Everyday Every day fishermen drive oruvas (outreach canoes) into the ocean in search of the fish Negombo is famous for. After the fishing is over, the silhouettes of the fishermen taking their boats back to the port constitute a moving picture. 2. Aquatic products Negombo is located at the northern end of the lagoon, so the things brought back by the fishermen may not all come from the sea. The lobsters and crabs in the lagoon are also famous.

"Negombo Beach is very beautiful, the coast is very clean, but there are not many tourists, but there are many local fishermen who go out to sea to fish. The scenery is very good in a place, and more importantly, the beach is very clean with less people"

Reasons to Recommend: Negombo Beach stretches north from the town, along the shore hotel, until it disappears into the palm trees, narrow and long. Negombo's beaches are characterized by clear water and fine sand, which cannot be compared with many other beaches in Sri Lanka, and the color of the sea here is yellow due to estuary sewage, but people can still swim here. 1. Beach refurbishment Today, the beach has been refurbished and tidy, especially the big hotel standing along the beach is quite charming, and it only takes 5 minutes to walk there. Even if foreign tourists do not stay, they can enter the beach from the front of major hotels. It is worth mentioning that sunsets and sunsets at Negombo Beach are not to be missed. 2. Negombo Beach Park If you like liveliness and want to experience the local colorful customs, it is recommended to go to Negombo Beach Park to play and play under the guidance of locals.

"St. Mary’s Church is a particularly beautiful Catholic church, and the surrounding environment is also very good. People here hold weddings. Most of them will be held here in St. Mary’s Church, which is also a local landmark historic building"

Reasons to Recommend: Negombo is the center of Catholicism in Sri Lanka, known as "Little Rome". Most of the residents believe in Roman Catholicism, so there are many churches, of which the larger and more luxurious is St. Mary's Church. The church was built in 1874, and it took 50 years in total. The overall decoration is solemn and elegant, and it is very particular. Details of the church From the outside, the appearance of the church is milky white, and there are three floors which are very holy. Inside the church, the dome is tall and there are solemn religious frescoes on the ceiling of the nave, which are highly ornamental. Sunlight poured in through the colorful glass windows, making the church extraordinarily sacred.

"I went back to the bus station and looked for a hotel. As I was worried, I didn’t find anything. During this time, I simply went into the village coconut grove and wandered along the path. I accidentally found a small and quiet temple with an exquisite large one with a height of more than ten meters. Standing Buddha. I came across a list of hawkers selling some kind of cooked, powder-flavored bean snacks, mixed with dried chili, dried shrimp, coconut meat and bay leaves. It was a rare delicacy I saw in Lanka (a small bag of 1.1 yuan). I also repaired my pair of worn-out sneakers (5.7 yuan) in a run-down shoe repair shop. The cheerful shoe repair brother has a much better English than me. I am ashamed!"

Reasons to Recommend: Most of the residents of Negombo believe in Catholicism, so the Buddhist temples here are quite special. Angel Kalam Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the Negombo area. There is a 6-meter-long reclining Buddha in the temple, as well as countless exquisite Buddhist murals and statues of kings of various dynasties. "Dutch Fort Dutch Fort, this is a historical site in Negombo City, the remaining gate was built in 1678. There is also a green area in front of the fortress called Esplanade.
