This is a neighborhood restaurant for us and we enjoy it especially when we can dine outside. We usually start with one of their delicious salads(me) and grilled calamari (my husband). Then usually we have their thin crust pizza. I like the vegetarian with artichokes instead of zucchini, and my husband orders the portobello mushroom pizza and adds prosciutto on top. I&#39;ve also enjoyed their Tagliolini Ortomare (pasta with shrimp and artichokes in a light tomato sauce) or their Grilled Salmon. For dessert, my husband orders tiramisu. We also enjoy bringing family and out of town guests here here.

Nine-year lilies are a signature dish, coincided with the listing of fresh lilies, white and tender lilies mixed with fresh mustard sauce, dripping basil oil, sweet inlet, the aroma of dumplings makes people feel like spring breeze. The Wenxuan soup extracted from siphon pot is soaked in sea pine shellfish. The soup is clear and tender, which has a sense of ritual.

I, my husband, and other members of our family eat dinner here frequently (usually 2 -3 times per month). We have never had a bad meal. The chardonnay is wonderful. I usually order the blanca salad and grilled branzino, which comes with roasted veg and potatoes; it is one of my favorite fish dishes in NYC. The bread, which we request be toasted, is great and whenever they have the apple strudel, we order it. I have never had better apple strudel. The service is always welcoming and excellent. After reading some of the negative reviews, I wonder if this is the same restaurant.

Taking a late lunch break from a Sotheby&#39;s Auction, we did a quick check for restaurants within a few blocks, that had excellent reviews. Quoting a previous review, after dining here,Jean Claude&#39;s is a small, local neighborhood &quot;gem of a restaurant&quot;. Despite arriving at about 3:45 PM, shortly before they were to close for lunch, the staff &amp; owner were very accommodating to meet our every request and told us not to rush and to take as long as we needed to enjoy our lunch. And we did. The owner noted that they have two different Chefs. One for lunch and another for the dinner service. He noted both have their individual styles, and both are really good. He told us to come back someday for dinner to see the different creative style of the dinner chef. We plan to do it. For lunch, I ordered the classic French Onion Soup which was about as good as it gets. My lunch entr&eacute;e was a Hanger Steak (with a nice French Red) and it was delicious as well. The overall ambiance resembles a small French/NY Bistro-it was simply comfortable and we enjoyed the setting. The wine menu is somewhat limited (thus one of the small reasons I didn&#39;t give it an 5 rating), however we enjoyed a nice French Red with our lunch. As fair as price, it was more than fair deal for NY-I will certainly make this a regular stop for trips in the future in the Big Apple. It is indeed a nice gem of a find. I would recommend it for friends or business folks that like a casual setting with a nice &quot;laid back&quot; feel that serves very good food at a great price.

As a Brooklyn girl, I am rarely on the UES. However, East Pole is a destination that is worth the uptown journey. The food is delicious and inventive, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is absolutely lovely.

I have to come to this area of NY few times a year and I always stop in for a glass of wine and something to eat. They have great brick oven pizza Neopalitan style which is excellent. I also have enjoyed pasta dishes one is black linguine with shrimp, very delicious! Pricing in NY pricing but doesn&#39;t feel too bad. I have also had fun at the bar which can get a good crowd as well as the nice bartenders!

I will not return! The service was so bad that we left! The waiter seated us at a table for four and the the Maitre &#39;d said no. We must sit at a table for two even though the restaurant was almost empty. We deliberately went after the lunch rush. All of the tables for two on the outside were in harms way if the predicted rain came. I have been a patron of this restaurant for number of years. About three months ago I bought a party of 10 people The meal was good but not as it used to be. It did not matter the ma&icirc;tre d&#39; Viso, was really obnoxious.
