The restaurant was pretty crowded at 8PM at night with a good mix of Chinatown locals and folks visiting the neighborhood. Chinese menus and Chinese language were spoken here. Service was very quick. Prices were outstanding for NYC, family of 5 ate for $60. Pork fried rice, pork lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli were all very good and much better than any Chinese food I can find at home. As we were leaving a few NYPD officers were picking up take out from this place!

My sister and I went here looking for the Wo Hop next door and made the mistake of thinking they were the same restaurant. The staff were very rude and never really acknowledged us. They also seated us at the table nearest the door and it&#39;s pretty chilly out. There were tables available elsewhere. The food, on the other hand, was pretty decent. We won&#39;t be going back to this Wo Hop but may venture to the other, highly rated, one in the future.

Truly, this is &quot;old school&quot; Chinese at its worst. Do not confuse this &quot;Wo HOp City&quot; with the other, completely different restaurant called &quot;Wo HOp,&quot; which is located a few doors up Mott St. That restaurant -- as opposed to this one -- is actually excellent food (although it is down in the basement and leaves something to be desired in the decor department).
