About Central Park

Central Park is located in the middle of Manhattan's urban forest of skyscrapers. Like an oasis in the desert, this is an refuge of green calm in the middle of the bustling metropolis. The park is dotted with many lakes and stands of trees both large and small. There are walking paths, running trails, bicycle paths, a zoo, sports fields and children's rides. You can stretch out on the lawn and enjoy the warm sunlight, stroll along while eating a hot dog, or go to the John Lennon Memorial - Strawberry Fields. This is a great way to enjoy a quiet and relaxing moment in the busy city.

New York Central Park, the most beautiful season is winter. I miss it very much. It's covered with snow everywhere. It's a rare beauty. It's a bit miserable. It can also be described as cold beauty. I like to go to Central Park this season best.

I arrived in New York in the USA this afternoon with my family. It was sunny and hot,so we decided to swam in the swimming pool in our hotel,it was very cool. After that,my family and I had dinner in our hotel,it was delicious! The next day,my family decided to visit the Statue of Liberty. But there was a long queue for the Statue of Liberty,so we only saw the Statue of Liberty across the river. Then we visited Wall Street, there is a bull on Wall Street,it is said that you can be lucky to touch the bull,so my family and I all touched the bull. This is so exciting that I would never forget this trip, and I promise it won't be the last time.

Had a great time strolling down the many acres of paths throughout the park. A person could spend days alone touring unique aspects in the park. You can set up for a game of chess or checkers, take a row boat and paddle around many wildlife. During the summer months a carnival sets up where in the winter, ice skating is the favored event. Of you want a nice overview of the park in a relaxed by informative way try the horse and buggy ride. The newer mode of sightseeing seems to be the bicyclist with a cart giving a rided tour, but to me, Central Park on horse and buggy just fits. Try and make a game of search for different places for you and the family, we searched for Balto, John Lennon's memorial, a certain bench dedicated by a couple married 40 years... Endless adventures can be accomplished or just a relaxing time stretched out on the grassy areas for a picnic, reading a book, or even a nap.

Central Park is a must when you go to New York! When my boyfriend and I went to New York. I came here during last summer and my friends and I walked around Central Park. This is such a beautiful park. It is just way too big to explore every area, but I got to most of it. I also stopped by the fountain, which was suggested by my friend. My friends and I kept walking around to find it and eventually we found it. It was the Bethesda fountain!! This place is such a great place to take photos and just enjoy the scenery with the New York buildings in the background. If I lived here, I would love to go here all the time with my boyfriend and walk around and enjoy everything I see. There is just so much to do here that you never run out of things. Don't forget to check the train stops to make sure which part of the park you want to explore!

Central Park is a destination for everyone. No matter how many times you visit, there's always something to see and more to do. During the winter, families can enjoy sledding down the snow covered hills. In the summer, friends can lay under the sun and get their tan on. The fall will have you in awe bye Central Park's stunning colors and falling leaves. Whether you're having a Sunday morning picnic with your family, participating in an outdoor yoga or Israeli dancing class, or going on a citi bike ride, Central Park will never disappoint.

Taking up 843 acres and 6% of Manhattan Central Park is an oasis in the middle of a city full of concrete. This is where locals go to keep their sanity and relax. During the summer months there are endless concerts and events happening. Good Morning America summer concert series has concerts running throughout the summer from 7:00-9:00 am. Tickets are free but it's recommended to get there at 6:00 am to secure a ticket. There is also Shakespeare in the park running all summer long. Again tickets are free but you are encouraged to show up early in the morning to get in line. I recommend heading to sheep's meadow and picnicking during the afternoon. Thousands of people flock to this huge lawn to lay out and take in the amazing view of the city.

Whenever I visit New York City I'm always in awe of Central Park. It's so awesome that a place like this exists amongst the hustle and bustle and skyscrapers. The park is huge so you won't be able to explore it all. Just mosey on it and walk around on a nice, sunny day. There's so much vibrant activity in the park, making it an excellent place to people watch. Lots of local celebrities frequent the park (I've once seen Howard Stern jogging and Reese Witherspoon walking) and they blend in just like normal folks. You'll find a mix of locals and tourists, giggling school kids on their way to the zoo, elderly couples admiring the flowers, dogs enjoying the sunshine, lovers cuddling on blankets and more. Central Park is magical any time of the year.
