Flatiron Building

I came here on September 18, 2017. There is a unique Wukang building in Shanghai. The design was inspired by the iron building in New York. If the Wukang Building is really "there are only three such buildings in the world", then the Iron Building must be one of them. Come to New York and come to see the Iron Building. Located at the junction of Fifth Avenue and Broadway Avenue, this peculiar building is facing Madison Square Park. It's very tall, so it's easy to find.

Iron Building is located at the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Avenue. It is named for its narrow front and wide back like iron. Built in 1902, it has a history of more than 100 years. It is one of the landmark buildings in New York.

The Iron Tower is the first skyscraper in New York City. By present standards, it is an ordinary high-rise building. But in the early twentieth century, it was once the tallest building in the world. It looked like an iron.

天气不好。没有蓝天白云的衬托出来大楼不好看了。凉风习习拉低了旅游的兴致。 从25街向西走，在南边就能看到麦迪逊广场公园和出名的熨斗大厦了。这座大楼是纽约的榜首座摩天大楼，从1902到1909一向是国际榜首楼房。这座楼瘦瘦高高，占有着一块三角地带，状如熨斗，所以就被叫做熨斗大厦了。

At the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Fifth Avenue on Manhattan Island, there is an iron-shaped building, which is narrow in front and wide in back, and narrowest in front is only two meters wide. Built in 1902, the building is one of the landmarks of New York and is the scene of many New York movies.

I bought a ticket for New York Metro on the 7th and went to many places. The iron building is right here at the exit of the subway. It's purely for taking some pictures. It's said to be the scene taken by Spider-Man. I have to say that American architecture is really enjoyable.

起初我还以为熨斗大厦的英文名字跟熨斗没有关系且熨斗这个名字是国人为了方便按其形状命名的，没想到它的英文名就是Flatiron Building，其周边的区域在英文中也是熨斗区的意思。它完工当时是纽约最高的楼之一，但现在似乎被遗忘了它也曾经是纽约的地标。

When the movie comes, you can see this place. This time, you can see it with your own eyes. It's really strange. There's a small square in front of the iron building for people to rest. You can sit here and feel the feeling of people shuttling around you slowly.

这个熨斗大厦好比上海的武康路大厦！年代谁更久远不去比较了！但是在人流密集的市中心这样的建筑在当时是非常考验设计师的！如今已然成为打卡胜地可见是非常了不起的！

The famous iron building is really one of the strangest buildings I have ever seen. It's shocking. It deserves to be one of the landmarks of New York. Many tourists take photos here. But I don't think it looks like an iron at all. I heard that it looks like an iron from the side. We didn't go to verify it.
