The Shakado surrounded by the forest of Mikawa black pine is nice.

    Original Text

There is Shakado in the precincts where many large Mikawa black pine trees are planted, and I was surprised that there is such a wonderful place in Nishio. Hojo and Kuri were also spectacular in the style of Zen sect architecture in the Edo period.

The splendid Mikawa black pine in the precincts

    Original Text

It is a temple with a historical history, and the precincts are wide and I think it is a magnificent temple in Nishio city. Especially the large black pine trees in the precincts are wonderful, and the Shakado surrounded by black pine trees is a picture.

    It's a magnificent temple!

    Original Text

It is a venerable temple as the family temple of Mr. Kira in the Middle Ages. The black pine trees planted around the approach are magnificent. During the Sengoku period (period of Warring States), he was fired by the army of Oda Nobunaga because he had a connection with Mr. Imagawa, but he was protected by Ieyasu Tokugawa and received a temple estate 70 stone. Nishio's tea is related to this temple. When I left the temple and drove north, the tea field spread out.

    Mikawa black pine group

    Original Text

In the precincts, there is a splendid Mikawa black pine tree about 200~250 years old, and it is a natural monument designated by Nishio City. 4 On the second Sunday of the month, there is also a flower festival to celebrate the birth of Shaka at Shakado.
