The Kewalo Basin is a one of a kind area that is a popular point where a number of ocean charters disembark. Squeezed between Ala Moana Beach Park and Kakaako Waterfront Park, this place is home to a small harbor and park, in addition to several ocean services. Inland from the basin many restaurants and a high quality movie theater can be found at Ward Warehouse, and right next door to that is the Ala Moana Mall. With all the surrounding attractions, this area is easily one of the greatest busy places from which to explore this bustling hot-spot to the west of Waikiki. You might not end up visiting the park, or using the services of the immediate businesses found at this coastal area, but you are nearly guaranteed to cruise close to this historic spot if you want to explore what is easily the most attraction rich location in Honolulu outside of Waikiki.
The sea view is very good. The quality of the sea is also good. Traffic is not troublesome, there are many local and non-local people, the park is free.
