It is a true experience of knowing the history and life of Akita dogs in this place. It is free and you can see an Akita dog and Akita puppy in the center. Staff will show you how they will feed the Akita dog and how they play and interact with it in front of you. There is also a cafe and a souvenir shop in the center. It is definitely a place for you to spend an hour or so if you visit Odate. Hachiko statue is just located at the front entrance of the center, so that you take photos with it and at the same time, learn the history of Hachiko. There is also the original JR train there, which that JR train is the train that the owner of Hachiko has taken 100 years ago in Shinjuku station, where Hachiko always waited his owner there. A very loyal and warm hearted dog.

It’s been my ultimate dream to visit Hachiko statue in Japan after watching the Hachiko movie way back then. Now at the age of 33 finally got to visit here. Very accesible at Shibuya Crossing. A dream cone true. Happy kiddo here 😍😇🥰
