City Park
Open all day (Local time)
It’s the name of a metal band, a movie, a novel, and the Scorpions mention in their song “Winds of Change”; but they all took the name from the Moscow amusement park (that got its name from author and activist, Maxim Gorky). The carnival-like atmosphere that dominated since the post-Soviet era has recently been replaced by a more contemporary and eco-friendly recreational destination. Rather than the sirens of carnie games or the rattle of roller coasters, you’ll hear the deep breathing of yoga students and the clacking of keyboards accessing the public Wi-Fi. Along with new cafés and an open-air cinema, an ice rink has opened in the park.

Alexander Garden is a rectangular park outside the red wall of the Kremlin. This is one of the places that Moscow people like to go to during their breaks. The Manesi underground mall and plaza, now being built, is integrated into the garden. Fountains and sculptures can be seen everywhere. In the garden, there is the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which was built on the eve of the 1967 Victory Day. There is a torch in front of the tomb, and the indestructible flame has been burning since its completion.
