Whenever they hear "Wanza Mao", everyone will be puzzled by this strange name. In fact, "Wanza" means "ten thousand people sit down", and "Mao" is an Okinawan dialect, meaning grassland and open space. Therefore, "Wanzumao" refers to a large lawn that can accommodate ten thousand people to sit down. This beautiful large lawn is located on a cliff by the sea, and the surrounding flora is designated as a natural monument by Okinawa Prefecture. From there, you can enjoy the sea and the sky, as well as overlooking the coral reefs under the cliffs and the magnificent view of the waves crashing on the shore. Wanzuomao is actually very small. It may take 10 minutes to walk around the semi-circle. The iconic scenic spot is that the cliff is shaped like an elephant's trunk, which is somewhat similar to the Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin. From here, you can see pictures of coral reefs and stormy waves hitting the shore, and there are patches of green plant communities on the land. And here is also the location of film and television dramas such as the Hong Kong movie "Love in Okinawa" and the Korean drama "It's Okay, It's Love".
