The Old Donghe tea soup is thick and smooth in texture, with a sweet and sour taste. The shaomai has a thin skin and is filled with a lot of stuffing, and it is fragrant with every bite. I thought I might not be used to the taste of milk tea, but it unexpectedly became my favorite in this restaurant. It has a rich salty and fragrant taste, and the milk flavor is very strong. It also contains fried Sanzi and dried beef, which are soaked until soft and delicious, melting in the mouth. 🍜Ximeng Renjia This is an even more authentic Mongolian restaurant, located on Fuqiang Road. This time we specifically ordered some traditional Mongolian hard dishes: horse intestines, blood sausages, and stuffed stomach meat. But we overestimated our ability to accept them. The blood sausage had a bit of a gamey taste, and after one bite, we didn't want to eat a second one. The horse intestines were better and edible. The stuffed stomach meat also had a gamey taste and was quite substantial; after eating two, we were already very full.

Kubuqi Desert 🇨🇳 Inner Mongolia

Hiking in the Desert is an experience I'll never forget. It was as expected ridiculously hot, with almost no shade. The hiking itself is moderately difficult, you'll just need to make sure you carry enough water as there are no vendors until you reach the campsites. The kit lists you'll be advised to prepare for this kind of tour are completely excessive 🤣. You'll need a pair of hiking shoes, a hat and a load of sun cream (plus your regular travel bag). The guides in our case provided the poles and shoes covers. For the hike, we put all our bags into the tour bus, which met us later in the evening at the campsite. In the campsite they had large communal showers, a huge firepit, a 'restaurant' and a small shop to buy drinks, snacks and local alcoholic beverages. The evening entertainment was a battery powered KTV speaker, Chinese lanterns and a box of fireworks. A cool trip and a different experience.

7th Biggest Desert in China 🇨🇳

#wecreate When I say 7th biggest , it is actually the smallest desert in China but still way bigger than London City . Mindblowing! We did a private tour and a private tour guide so everything was very convenient. It was my first time riding a camel and it is an experience worth remembering. The jeep sand dune driving was so much fun. You'd only reach this area of the desert by a cable car first then once you arrive in the tourist area then you can enjoy all the activities there. This place to be honest has become so commercial and touristy so temper your expectations. But if you can just enjoy the activities then you will probably have a good time there. It is a 4-5 drive from hohhot. TIP: Do bring Sunscreen and a hat if you don't want to be burnt. Interesting and admirable fact: They managed to transform this part of kubuqi desert into wetlands where people can farm and live. It is very impressive. A must do if visiting Ordos (just a 50 minute drive). A magnificent place, both in size and beauty. plenty of fascinating information and culture. Entrance ticket 90 RMB, half price for children, over 60s free. the portable guide is worth he 20RMB. although photography is not allowed inside themain building the exhibition is full of intereting relics, murals and history. After visiting the mausoleum, as you drive out there are many stables offering horse riding, traditional yurts scattered around creating a beautiful scenery, some are restaurants, other souvenir shops and there are even some offering traditional costumes photo opportunities.
