I admit it, I love Emeril and was very excited to have lunch here. I'm happy to say that his restaurant does not disappoint and this is some of the best food I've ever had. I started with Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp and my main was Shrimp and Grits. Both were intensely flavored with so many layers that it was hard not to swoon!! My husband started with a rich Gumbo Soup and his main was a personal Pizza with Crawfish and Andouille. Both were just fantastic. With great people watching at City Walk Universal and great service, this is an absolute must and a definite on our repeat list.
We liked this restaurant. It is fine dining. They have good wine selection, good food and good service. At the end of a theme park day at Universal Studios this place was good pampering.
My wife and I made reservations to eat at Emeril's because she loves watching him on TV. We both made the assumption that the food would be exquisite; however, it didn't quite live up to that expectation. I'm not suggesting that the food wasn't good. We enjoyed our meal well enough. Neither of us felt that it was nearly as good as the price tag though. I will say that it was a fairly unique experience. It's just one we probably won't have any desire to replicate.
Went to dinner since it was on my find gluten free app. Bad idea. The waiter had no idea what I could eat on the menu and ended so I up with three scallops and bland vegetables that cost a pretty penny. Pricy just because of the name, but on the up side my daughter did enjoy her tuna crudo and they had an extensive wine list.
Fried chicken, fried shrimp is very authentic, the taste is unbelievably fragrant, really delicious.
