A pedestrian tunnel underneath the Aji River
An 80-meter pedestrian tunnel with an elevator for bicycles. While the tunnel is open 24 hours and is monitored by security cameras, there are guards posted during rush hours. (7-9 am and 4-7 pm)...
There was an entrance just a short walk from Nishi kujo station. An elevator was installed because bicycles could pass, but if you only walk, you can pass smoothly without waiting time by using the stairs next to you. It seems to be used as one end of the living road, and the locals seem to be coming and going very normally.
From kujo station to Nishi kujo station through the Yasuji gawa tunnel
Original Text
After watching Keiichi Nomura's movie "Midsummer Boy" at Kujo Cine Nouveau, I went through Kirara Kujo Shopping Street, dived through the Yasuji River Tunnel, reached JR Nishikujo Station, changed to JR and went to Universal City. I walked through the tiled tunnel and took the elevator with my bicycle to the opposite bank. This is the second time. It is a tunnel that feels gloomy.
Immediately after leaving Nishikujo Station, I saw a warehouse-like building, which was the entrance to the tunnel. The elevator that can ride a bicycle was crowded, so I used the stairs to go down to the tunnel. It was a narrow bicycle pass pedestrian tunnel, but the lighting was bright, so I was able to pass with peace of mind. Grace, the crowded elevator seems to take time to get on and off, and if you walk, you arrived on the opposite bank while waiting for the elevator.
It is a local road, not a tourist spot. There is an elevator at the entrance of the road and you only pass through the bottom of the river. It may be annoying to visit as a tourist spot
