Axhus Castle, designed and built by King Yukang V of Norway in 1300 to resist foreign aggression, is one of the most representative buildings in the Middle Ages. It is also the name of a magnificent castle standing on the edge of Cape Ak, which can almost overlook the city hall and downtown Oslo.
The castle stands on Cape Ak, from which you can almost see the city hall and downtown Oslo. No tickets are required for visiting the castle, but the museum inside needs tickets. The military museum here is very famous. Military fans should not miss that Norwegian military history has many weapons, such as pirate ships. It's important to travel to Europe because there are free toilets.
The castle is free and open on the edge of Cape Ak. It's quite large, but it can't be entered. There is also a restaurant area beside the sea, which is very pleasant. Wide view, overlooking the city hall and downtown Oslo, magnificent. There are many cannons beside the waterfront wall. King Yukang V of Norway, designed and built in 1300 to resist foreign aggression, is one of the most representative buildings in the Middle Ages. This is my favorite building in Oslo, full of functional, artistic, obvious European architectural style, medieval history.
The castle was built during the reign of Hakang V, who used it as his royal palace. The fire of 1527 destroyed the castle. When Christian IV was in office, Hans Steinwenko, a famous architect, expanded and decorated the castle on a large scale. By 1600 the castle had become a Renaissance-style palace, and around 1630 it had added walls. It was not until 1815 that its defensive function as a fortress was diluted. When members of the royal family died, they were buried in the castle.
Oslo means "Valley of God", situated on the hills at the northern end of Oslo Fjord, backed by mountains, facing the sea, the scenery is fascinating. There are not only the beautiful scenery of the coastal city, but also the vigorous momentum relying on the high mountains and dense forests. Most of the buildings in the city have only two or three floors, which have strong medieval color and unique Nordic style. The Oslo attractions are mainly concentrated in the downtown area, including the City Hall, the Akshuth Castle, the Nobel Peace Prize Center, the Opera House and so on. Settled out of the hotel and turned left. It wasn't far from Akshhus Castle. Founded in 1299, it is situated on the high side of the City Hall. The elevation overlooks the "Ake Brygge" harbour with beautiful scenery. Blue Stone Road, Green Grassland, Watchtower, Artillery Array, a school of antique fragrance.
Standing at the castle, overlooking Oslo, it's beautiful.
Located in the eastern harbor of the city, Akshu Fort climbs up a tree-lined path to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the fjord. The outer wall of the fortress is primitive, with a strong sense of vicissitudes. The Castle retains the medieval style and has underground prisons, Royal mausoleums, churches, main towers and banquet halls. Some of these halls, such as the Hall of Erlomek and the Hall of Margaret, are now used for official government banquets. Of course, there were wool tapestries in the castle hundreds of years ago.
