About Nobel Peace Center

Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite, wanted to gain recognition for something other than a weapon after a French newspaper denounced him in an erroneous obituary confusing him with his recently deceased brother Ludwig. After that, he founded the Nobel Peace Prize to honor those who made positive contributions in the direction of world peace. Located in the center of Oslo, the Nobel Peace Center features a number of exhibits that tell you and your family about war and peace, the history of the prize, the latest winners and Alfred Nobel himself. Your children can enjoy the interactive multimedia presentations, including the electronic wall newspaper.
