Manukan Island is the second largest island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in Sabah, Malaysia. There are five distinctive islands in the Ocean Park. Manukan Island is the most popular. If anyone wants to ask me "the most recommended outlying island in Sabah", my first thought must be here. The reason is very simple. Tengku Ocean Park is only 15 minutes away from the city of Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah. It is not like the outer sea. From the island, you need a boat to get there.
The distance from the city is as clear as the sea, the beach is as soft as the beach, and the most important thing is that there are five kinds of islands in addition to various rich marine entertainment projects and perfect facilities. The most beautiful living coral reefs, as well as a large number of colorful tropical fish, are ideal for family fun and water.
From the air, Manukan Island is shaped like a curved dart, with a beautiful shore at the tip of the east, the beach is long and the sand is soft. The island is densely covered with vegetation, and the west and north coastlines are rocky and steep, with a mountain path surrounding the island. To the east and south of the island, there are many magnificent coral reefs and marine life, making it the perfect place for snorkeling, deep diving and swimming.
To go to Manukan Island, like the islands in other Tunku Ocean Park, you can go directly to the Kota Kinabalu Ferry Terminal at the northern end of the city. There are a lot of ticket windows in the terminal, all of which are different companies. The price is similar. Some windows provide Chinese service. Generally, tickets are sold at 7:00 in the morning. People are full of boats (eight people). It is basically 15 minutes. It is recommended to arrive before 11:00 am. pier. Kota Kinabalu is not big, if the hotel is not far from the pier, you can walk directly. Arriving at the pier of Manukan Island, you can see the squad of tropical fish in the clear waters.
Manukan Island is located just off the coast of Kata kinabalu, the capital city of sabah. it is the second largest island of Marine Park.
