Izu is an unassuming Japanese restaurant close to the Place D&rsquo;Italie and a comfortable walk from the Latin Quarter. However, what it lacks in interior aesthetics it more than makes up for in the quality of the food.In fact, our very fussy boys, who have had brochettes or skewers at many a Japanese restaurant, claimed Izu&rsquo;s to be the best they have had.And if that wasn&rsquo;t music to our ears, the food was incredibly good value for money.Highly recommended!

We were in Paris for my birthday and had an unforgettable experience at this restaurant. The staff was welcoming and funny, I enjoyed the best lamb and couscous I&#39;ve ever had and they went out of their way to sing me happy birthday. Thank you, I will remember that night forever.

From the outside you can&#39;t imagine the richness of what&#39;s inside. An old cabaret now handled by a family. Service was fast and perfect, menu was complete, food was really excellent. And guess what you&#39;re not killed by the bill after such a good moment

I love going to this restaurant, the chef worked in a Korean Restaurant in North Korea for years and you can taste the authentic flavors in his dishes. 😋🍻

My wife and I loved everything about the place but we didn&rsquo;t realize how small the place was. We just thought it was fun but there was just two large groups, ourselves, and one other couple taking up every seat in the restaurant. The large group was loud but it just added to the ambience hearing them laugh and have fun next to us. We also had a hard time translating the menu to English and our server spoke very little English but we just took a guess about what we were ordering and it turned out wonderful. It was a great adventure with delicious food and a great feel!
