Stroll along the Champs Elysees - the world-famous famous street in Paris, where people come and go in an endless stream, world-class brands, clothing stores, perfume shops, all kinds of beautiful things, so it is called "the beautiful street in the world".
From the obelisk of Concorde Square to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees Street is the only way. At first it was a bit desolate, but there were free drinking water fountains and peddlers selling French Crepes. Then you can visit the small palace and the big palace. There are more and more high-end stores in the back. At Cartier, the Champs Elysees is over and the Arc de Triomphe is in front of you.
The 'Champs Elysees' is one of the most famous avenues in the world. It goes from Place de la Concorde to the 'Arc de Triomphe'.The avenue was built in times of Napoleon. This long avenue is surrounded by trees, imposing buildings, chic shops, movie theaters and night clubs and cabarets. Walking from here to the End of this avenue is an experience you will hardly forget
THE great shopping lane in the world. The Champs-Elysees leads straight to the Arc de Triomphe, but before that you'll walk along some of the biggest luxury brands in the world. Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Chanel. Every top brand you can think of is represented here. Watch Japanese tourists walk with their bags full of expensive merchandise.
Paris is fascinating every season of the year, but I think my preference goes for autumn: September is probably the best choice. The weather is nice, not too hot and sunny days are always around the corner. The vegetation is blooming and a few leaves begin to fall... a great mixture and the best environment for a great walk in the city.
Ahh, Paris. You can't help but hum a tune or sigh romantically on this famous avenue - for that classic "I'm really in Paris" feeling, the fashionistas and shoppers alike will simply drool. Every brand name under the sun opens doors here, offering days of shopping - or a lovely stroll down the length of it toward the Arc du Triomphe.
The Seine River divides Paris into the Right Bank (North) and the Left Bank (South). And the Avenue des Champs Elysees is the major thoroughfare in the Right Bank. Napoleon put Champs Elysees on the map by building the Arc de Triomphe, and holding a lavish parade along this route when he married Maria-Louise in 1810.
It was a blessing that our hotel (Le Belmont) was 5 min walk from this famous avenue as it never sleeps! just like time square or 5th Ave. in NY, or La Rambla in Barcelona, this is the main street of Paris. with amazing luxury shopping stores and flow of people you can just walk the streets and feel happy!
Needs no introduction! 15 min walk from our Studio Seine d'Orsay. Always festive. Tons of designer shops (including the famous 4-story Louis Vuitton) , restaurants & clubs, all open late nights and on Sundays. The Arc de Triomphe and Place de la Concorde frame this world renowned street.
There is no real trip to Paris without going on the Champs-Elysees. This may be the most well-known avenue in the world. Best time to go there is mid-to-end December when the Christmas lights are on. When I am in Paris i always try and catch a good French movie in one of the multiple theaters there.
