The Royal Palace of Princess Sissi. You need to make an appointment in advance to avoid the flow of people. The dessert shop opposite the palace is very famous, and I heard that Princess Sisi had frequented it before. Also make an appointment in advance to avoid long queues.
beautiful palace, lotsnif history to seenin Vienna. a mist see if anyone is in town.
Hofburg palace is located in the centre of Vienna, this magnificent buildings since the 13th century was the habsburg royal residence, famous Franz Joseph I and queen Elizabeth (sisi) couple have lived on this. The early 18th century, habsburgs, moved to schonbrunn hofburg and is regarded as the "palace".
Besides the Schönbrunn Castle the Hofburg is for sure the most famous tourist attraction of Vienna. I recommend to take a walk from the Museumsquartier to the Michaelerkirche - on your 1-2km walk you pass the Natur- and Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Heldenplatz, Nationalbibliothek and finally go through the Hofburg to arrive via Spanischer Hofreitschule at Michaelerkirche . The nicest 2 km in town for sure.
