We traveled from Verona to Sorrento and have tried a porchetta lunch at every city while we were there, and this Porchetta stand in Perugia is the best of them all. In term of taste, they had the perfect bread, and the pork is well done - a little of heaven in the mouth! If you are into roast pork sandwich, don't miss it. It locates across from the gate of The Mercato Coperto (Covered Market). Look for the green stand with the sign "Porchetta Cotta a Legna"
We were so looking forward to trying the porchetta here, but with very dry bread, only two small slices and lots of scraps of meat, certainly not the best we had tasted during our week in Umbria. The herb stuffing was delicious, but the bread was so dry it was hard to swallow.
