流流溜溜The ancient city of Petra in Jordan is old and mysterious. It is amazing to walk through the "snake path" that enters the city 1.5km. It opens in the majestic temple on the cliff and rock wall. It is amazing to show rose-like color under the sunshine. It is worth a visit.
_GG***42I cannot stress this enough, this place is beyond magical and it is larger than life itself. Once there was a very large community living here and this whole city have a lot of invention that until today remains relevant. Nothing much is written about the Nabatean civilisation here and you can hire a guide when you buy a ticket but i don’t think it is worth doing so because nothing they share is worth while ( not to mention if you can hardly understand their English, ) better to hire a proper guide from the city or make prior arrangement with a true history lover.
欲飞的鸟[Snake Road] is a winding passage in the ancient city of Petra, so it is called "snake road". The starting point is at the mountain gate of the ancient city, and the ending point is at the Nizni Temple, which is nearly two kilometers long. The snake path is formed by cracks in the valley nearly a hundred meters high. The wide part is like a small square; the narrowest part can only be squeezed by a carriage; walking in it, the scenery changes endlessly, which makes people sigh the wonders of nature and envy Petra People’s good fortune can actually find such a natural shelter. On both sides of the snake path, there are fortifications, water supply channels, carved statues and altars, which make people stop and watch from time to time...
NekairEnter Petra at 2 o'clock, walk to the monastery and then return, it was completely dark when I left the gate. The monastery may not be that far, but it is all mountain roads, so tired, walking through the Royal Mile? I forgot whether it was called this name, anyway, it was the street in front of the royal tomb, and then I started climbing. It’s really enjoyable up and down. I regretted it 100 times along the way. I wanted to return and felt unwilling. When it finally arrived, Bedouins came up to congratulate us and said "you made it" to me. I sold the donkey to me a few hours ago, but I refused. Fortunately, we are here, so let's be a sigh of relief for ourselves!
Miss LexusA group of 6 friends, walking around and sitting, wandering among the magnificent Roman ruins. In addition to admiration and shock, the biggest gratitude is to lament the rise and loss in the historical torrent.
狮子国女王Royal Tombs-located in a higher position in the ancient city of Petra, like a cave, due to the age, some of the wind erosion has no edges and corners, you can still see the style of the year, it is said that there are different sizes Hundreds of tombs also contain royal treasures of the past.

DEEP WITHIN JORDAN’S desolate desert canyons and rugged mountains lies an ancient treasure, the stone city of Petra. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the new seven wonders of the world, Petra is a giant metropolis of tombs, monuments, and other elaborate religious structures directly carved into sandstone cliffs. Believed to have been settled as early as 9000 B.C., Petra developed into the thriving capital of the Nabataean kingdom. This little-understood Middle Eastern culture ruled much of modern-day Jordan from the third century B.C. until the first century A.D., when it yielded to the rising power of Rome.
The rock-cut façades are the iconic monuments of Petra. Of these, the most famous is the so-called Treasury (or Khazneh), which appeared in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, as the final resting place of the Holy Grail.

Out of all the places I have been to in my life, Petra in Jordan was one of the most breathtaking locations I have had the chance to witness. From the breathtaking mood at night to the sheer scale of the rock carvings, everything was a pure breath of fresh air, and a time travel to the past. As we followed the Al-Khubtha trail to the top, we came to a little tent set up by some locals, who served us tea to enjoy the views with. Certainly a place I am dying to go back to, as this experience profoundly marked my heart with emotions and feelings 🇯🇴🐪 Pro tip, for the views from above, there are several locations, but I would recommend following the Al-Khubtha trail. it is a bit of a walk and hike, but you will definitely get to enjoy the views to yourself, away from the rest of the tourists. (Don’t listen to the local “fake” guides who would tell you that trail is closed so that they can bring you to another trail to earn commissions 😉)
Petra, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. I’ll never forget this memorable day. I woke up really early to watch the sunrise from the Treasury and running towards the Monastery just in time to watch the sun coming out behind this “huge-rock”. I’ve walked more than 21km for about 15 hours that day, it felt like I was in a movie! one of my favorite moments was definitely seeing Petra by night! the Treasury in the dark brought a whole new experience, with over a thousand of candles lined the path from the Entrance of Petra through the Sun leading up to this magical view!
This is by far my most favorite building and architecture of all time. Petra, located in Jordan. This place will blow your mind, with the iconic red color stone this place is absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely a must place to go. Wonderful. #wintergetaway
